For your Mac and PC, Android USB drivers are an essential tool. They provide interaction and communication between your mobile device and PC by serving as a bridge. The USB drivers facilitate the transfer of files, including images, between mobile phones and computers. They also assist in establishing a connection between your Android device and programs like Odin and other Flash tools. There are different types of drivers you have to install on your PC if you do flashing of phone and unlocking. Each of these drivers is unique to a certain kind of device and is required for particular tasks or activities.
1. Mediatek Drivers (MTK)
Drivers for Mediatek-based devices that enable USB tethering and debugging over a USB connection are known as Mediatek USB VCOM drivers. They make it possible for your computer to identify and interact with your device over a USB connection.
2. ADB Drivers
Android Debug Bridge, is what ADB stands for. With the help of this command-line tool, developers can interact with an Android device that is linked to a USB port. In order to send commands to an Android device that is in ADB mode, a computer must have the ADB driver installed.
3. Preloader and CDC Drivers
Preloader and CDC Drivers: These are the drivers for the preloader and CDC components found in many different electronic devices, such as tablets and smartphones. The CDC (Communications Device Class) driver permits USB connectivity with the device, while the preloader driver permits the flashing of new firmware onto the device.
4. Qualcomm Drivers
Device drivers for Qualcomm-based hardware are called Qualcomm drivers. They are essential for some tasks, including flashing or rooting the device, and allow your computer to identify and interact with your device via a USB connection.5. SPD Drivers
Drivers for Spreadtrum-based devices are known as SPD (Spreadtrum) drivers. Chinese semiconductor manufacturer Spreadtrum creates chipsets for mobile phones and other tiny electronics. For some activities, including flashing or rooting the device, the SPD drivers are required in order to facilitate communication with the device via a USB connection.
6. Samsung Drivers
The drivers needed to flash a Samsung Android device—that is, to install a fresh operating system or firmware—are referred to as Samsung flashing drivers. On Samsung devices, these drivers are also required for rooting, bootloader unlocking, and installing custom recoveries or ROMs.
